The rooms are richly decorated with solid wood. A fireplace with a flickering flame of real wood. It is truly the appearance of a mansion. Only six rooms are available, so this is a world of relaxation for adults only.

Unique Experience
Named "Chourakukan" by Hirobumi Ito, the first Prime Minister of Japan, this pavilion was built for the purpose of hosting guests and socializing. The hospitality and historical atmosphere are the same as in the past. A time that can only be experienced here.

Hotel Chorakukan's original pajamas are made of carefully selected gauze that is soft to the touch and absorbs water, and designed by Takeyuki Wakabayashi of SOU-SOU. After repeated prototyping, we have created the highest level of comfort and feel.

Tea utensils and vessels
The tea sets and other utensils furnished in the room were made by Mr. Benimura Hayashi of Kiyomizu Ware in Kyoto, who is known as a master of white porcelain.
The craftsmanship cultivated over many years has produced a neat form and ease of use. -
rug
Rugs are carefully and painstakingly crafted by world-renowned dyeing and weaving artist Jun Tomita in his studio at the foot of Mount Atago in Kyoto.
This is a one-of-a-kind work woven with the image of each room in Hotel Chorakukan. -
linen
Handmade linen that is involved from the selection of the yarn and trialed many times, and whose texture and absorbency are important.
The quality of the beds is the result of our desire to provide a comfortable sleep for those who stay at our hotel. -
Handmade soap
Handmade soap for Hotel Chorakukan by Chikako Sakakida, who grows about 200 kinds of herbs in her garden at home.
The natural herbal fragrance and gentle lather soothe the soul, making bath time even more elegant. -
bathrobe
The towels are made of genuine Imabari towels using organic cotton for a high quality finish.
The softly brushed toweling fabric does not harm the skin and is as comfortable as being wrapped in cotton. -
Kyoto Chidoya Cosmetics
Ingredients are organic and wild-crafted from traditional Japanese ingredients, and no artificial synthetic ingredients are used.
This is a gem produced by Kyoto Chidoriya, a company that thinks positively about the healthy beauty of women. -

Hotel Chorakukan's original shingen bag created by Pagon, a company developed by Kameda Tomi Dyeing Factory, a long-established yuzen dyeing company in Kyoto.
