Daimonji Fire Festival Evening [August 16, 2025].
The "Gozan-no-Okuribi (Bonfire on Mount Gozan)" is a traditional summer festival in Kyoto.
On August 16, starting with "Daimonji" on Nyoigatake (Mt. Higashi), "Myoho" on Matsugasaki, "Funagata" on Nishigamo, "Left Daimonji" on Daikokuyama, and "Torii" on Mandarayama are lit in this order, creating a silent prayer light in the night sky.
Hotel Chorakukan has prepared a special moment for this occasion only.
After a special full-course French dinner, the Onari-no-Ma (Onari Room), the tea ceremony room, and the guest rooms on the second floor, which are usually closed to the public, will be opened to the public so that visitors can view the "O", "Myo-Ho", and "Funagata" bonfires from inside the building.
Guests can also view the view from the guests-only observation lounge and some guest rooms.

Viewing the bonfire / "Chorakuan" and "Onari-no-Ma" on the 3rd floor of the main building, "Ki-no-Ma" on the 2nd floor, etc.
Prices include tax. A 10% service charge will be added.
