Tuesday only: House Guided Tour Plan [June 3, 10, 17, 24, 2025].
For customers of Dessert Cafe Chorakukan, we will offer a tour plan of the museum for the month of June only.
The staff of Chorakukan will introduce you to the unique design of Western-style architecture of the Meiji period, as well as the furnishings and furniture that have colored the building for more than 100 years.
We invite you to take a closer look at the history of the building, its attractions, and details that are usually overlooked, and to appreciate more deeply the charm of this Western-style house, designated as an Important Cultural Property.

Tuesday Only House Guided Tour Plan
- Fee: Free of charge
- Time: 11:00 assemble 11:05- House tour plan (approx. 20 min.) & use of café
- *After the guided tour of the museum, use of the café (1 order per person/excluding afternoon tea) is mandatory. Menu will be selected on the day of the tour.
*The guided tour of the museum is by advance reservation only (limited to a limited number of people). Reservations will be closed when capacity is reached.
Please select the "Guided Tour Plan" when making your reservation. (If you make a reservation for "Seating Only" or another menu at the same time, you will not be able to participate in the guided tour plan.)

- *Chorakukan staff will guide you through each room on the first and second floors and provide explanations.
*This plan does not include access to the 3rd floor of the main building (normally closed to the public).
Dessert Cafe Chourakukan
If you wish to cancel your reservation for this plan, please contact us by the morning of the day before. If you do not show up for your reservation without informing us, we may not be able to accept your next and subsequent reservations.
*If you are not at the museum by the time the guided tour starts, you will not be able to participate in the guided tour (please refrain from joining the guided tour during the tour).
After the guided tour of the museum, the room and seating at the café are at your discretion.
*Explanations are only available in Japanese.
