New Year's Afternoon Tea [December 26, 2025 - January 7, 2026].
From winter to new year, celebrate the start of a new year with an afternoon tea.
The colors of red and white and pine trees, essential for the Japanese New Year, are gorgeously expressed in strawberries, green tea, and macaroons.
We have added "Galette des Rois", a traditional pastry to celebrate the New Year in France, to this dish, and will offer it as a unique dish at Chorakukan, which is popular every winter.
The savory was decorated with daikon radish and carrots to reflect the red and white color, and auspicious ingredients such as shrimp, sea bream, and yuzu (Japanese citron).
It is as if Japanese New Year's Day has been invited to a Western-style building, and the afternoon tea is a blend of Japanese and Western flavors that is typical of Chorakukan.
The harmony of Japanese and Western influences in the Meiji-era Western-style "Chorakukan" building will be a perfect setting for the start of a new year.
