Artist Profile

  • Born in Izumiotsu City, Osaka in 1942. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Department of Design, and worked as a lecturer at the same university.
He produced many legendary events as an organizer in the early days of Japanese rock music.
He has been a painter since his 60th birthday. He has painted murals in more than 200 locations in Japan and abroad.
His half-life with rock music is evident in his dynamic paintings. Instead of going to the canvas in his studio, he wants to paint in a "live" city. He is a unique painter who advocates the ultimate in amateurism.
In 2012, he was selected for the Japan Tourism Agency's "Japan. Thank You." campaign visual and the first artist for TBS TV NEWS23X's "23XArt" art project.
