Gion Festival Private Dinner [Ends July 1-August 9, 2024].

Because the hamo season coincides with the Gion Festival, the Gion Festival is also called "Hamo Matsuri" in Kyoto.
Enjoy the cool of the evening with a taste of Kyoto's summer tradition, hamo (Japanese conger eel) cuisine.
Private rooms are available for families with children.

Gion Festival Private Dinner

  • Start time : Please choose from 18:00 or 18:30
  • Number of persons: 2 to 4 *Please call us for more than 5 persons
  • Meal place : 1 private room in the main building
  • Plan Benefits: I. A free glass of champagne toast for those who come to the museum in kimono or yukata
          II. Two dishes using "hamo" (pike conger)
  • *Normal private dinner reservations do not include the above benefits. Please be careful when making reservations.
    *Champagne can be changed to a non-alcoholic drink.

     Guided tour of the museum (including the Onsei-no-ma "Chorakuan" on the 3rd floor, which is not open to the public)
     Special French course: 9 dishes

Children's Dinner Menu

     Seasonal soup, bread, salad, main dish such as fried shrimp, and assorted deserts
     Approximate age: preschoolers to early elementary school students

     Approximate age: middle to upper elementary school
  • *Children of junior high school age and older are charged the same course price and content as adults.

Availability

    The entire building will be closed for maintenance on July 3 (Wed) and 22 (Mon) to 26 (Fri).
  • *Limited to 1 couple per day.
    *Offered only during dinner time.
