Commemorating the Designation of Important Cultural Property: Tuesday only, guided tours of the museum [March 4, 2024 - May 27, 2025].
Held to commemorate the designation of Chorakukan (former Murai family villa) as a National Important Cultural Property.
Tuesday guided tours of the museum will be extended until the end of May.
In addition, the number of times the program will be held will be increased to twice a day (from 10:15am / 11:00am).
The limited number of guided tours of the museum by Chorakukan staff are included with your visit to the cafe.
You can also visit the Onari-no-Ma and Chorakuan Japanese-style rooms, which are usually closed to the public.
Please take this opportunity to enjoy Chorakukan, designated as an important cultural property.

Guided tours of the museum in commemoration of the designation as an Important Cultural Property
- Fee: Free of charge
- Time: ①Gather at 10:15 a.m. 10:20 a.m. - Guided tour of the museum (approx. 20 min.) & use of the café
Meet at 11:00 a.m. 11:05 a.m. - Guided tour of the museum (approx. 20 min.) & use of the café - *After the guided tour, use of the cafe (1 order per person) is mandatory. Menu will be selected on the day of the tour.
- *Guided tours are available by advance reservation only (limited number of people). Reservations will be closed when capacity is reached.
- *Please select "Guided tour of the museum" when making a reservation.
(You cannot join the guided tour if you make a reservation for another menu item such as "Seating Only" at the same time.)

- Closed: Tuesday, March 18, Tuesday, March 25, Tuesday, April 1, Tuesday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 29 (national holiday)
- *Please note that the museum may suspend guided tours on additional days depending on the number of reservations.
*Not offered on holidays.
*Reservations will be accepted from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22. Also, web 30 days prior to the date of the event/phone call: reservations will be accepted from the 1st of the previous month.

If you wish to cancel your reservation for this plan, please contact us by the morning of the day before. If you do not show up for your reservation without informing us, we may not be able to accept your next and subsequent reservations.
*To ensure that as many people as possible can view the event, multiple reservation slots will be available at the same time.
*If you are not at the museum by the start of the guided tour, you will not be able to participate in the guided tour (please refrain from joining the guided tour in the middle of the tour).
We will be happy to help you find your own room and seating in the café.
*Guided tours are available only in Japanese.
