Thank you very much for your patronage during the past year!
We would like to thank you all for your warm support in the past year, and we look forward to a happy new year!
Chorakukan (former villa of the Murai family) was officially designated as a National Important Cultural Property last December.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported and patronized us over the years for this honor.
The founder of Chorakukan, Kibei Murai, was a businessman who lived in the same era as famous Meiji industrialists such as Hirobumi Ito and Eiichi Shibusawa, and was famous as the "Tobacco King.
The reason why he spent a huge amount of his own money to build this guest house, which is now known to many, is because he was a great man from Kyoto, and he was a great man.
It was a noble idea to make a contribution to his hometown, Kyoto, and to his country.
We are not only interested in this one-of-a-kind building itself, but also in the history of hospitality and the thoughts and feelings that went into it.
We will continue to provide special moments that will be etched in your hearts and minds this year to carry on into the next future.
We wish you a happy and prosperous New Year and hope that this year will be a happy and prosperous one for all of you.
We look forward to your continued patronage in the New Year!
We are looking forward to welcoming you all!
